I got one response to my request for dog costumes last week, and it honestly made my day. Shout out to Henry Garrett for the most creative dog costume I’ve ever seen. 😂
I took a peak at the beta of SparkToro earlier this week. SparkToro is a new company from Rand Fishkin, the founder of Moz. The goal is to build an audience intelligence tool that helps marketers figure out where their customers are spending time.
The tool is super easy to use and has some fascinating data, but I quickly ran into a problem. Our audience as we currently describe them is too broad. It’s made up of so many types of people, that there isn’t one consistent place to reach them. This means we likely need to work on our positioning.
Time and again I’m reminded of how important positioning is. But no one talks about it, not nearly as much as content marketing tactics or advertising hacks.
