Happy Thursday Watchers!
Ever since taking over this newsletter, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it is that makes good newsletters great. The answer (at least in my mind) is manual curation. That is, a human being decides what makes the cut.
Most of the content we see and read these days is influenced by algorithms. They’re pretty damn good at what they do, but they’re not perfect. The result is that a lot of bad content rises to the top. Content that gets clicks or shares but doesn’t provide concrete, actionable advice.
I try to filter out the bad, and provide you with interesting reads for each stage in the startup journey. But it’s still hard to find the good stuff when you need it. So I’m going to start releasing a series of collections. Each month, 1 newsletter will be a thorough collection of the best content on a specific topic. I’ll publish these on my site
so you can refer back to them as needed.
The first one will go out in January, and I’d love your input on what topic I should compile first.
- Validating an idea
- Mental health as a founder
- Business planning
