Happy new year watchers!
I decided to get out of Charleston for a few days, so this issue is coming to you from Washington DC. I’m crashing with one of my best friends, a former hacker turned startup founder, and taking some time to chill out hard before launching into the new year.
I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want my personal goals to be heading into 2020. The hardest part for me is narrowing down everything I want to do and trying to stay remotely focused.
This is actually AFTER I narrowed it down:
- Meditate every day
- Exercise 3 days per week
- Write 1 sentence for my personal blog every weekday
- Eat less fast food
- Volunteer once per month
- Camp or travel once per month
- Sail twice per month
- Set a consistent morning routine
- Continue spending lots of time with friends & family
I intentionally make some of my goals vague, and some where I already have a track record more specific. The vague goals help me get started without being too hard on myself, while the more specific goals help push me.
What are your goals for the new year? Hit reply and let me know.
Cheers from DC ✌️
P.S. Our sponsor this month is a friendly face! Bram Kanstein, who started this newsletter 3 years ago, has just launched a new course teaching founder to build and validate startup ideas without code. Check it out and send him some love.
