Happy Friday Watchers!
Today’s newsletter is coming out on Friday instead of Thursday because I’ve honestly just been swamped this week. Monday my car decided not to start and I found out it was going to be $1300 just to get to the point where we could run a test to see if I need a new engine.
The car is 16 years old and has a salvage title, so… I decided it’s finally time for an upgrade. Only here’s the thing. Car buying is complicated. And kinda shitty.
My friend Clay recommended I look for a car broker, and I’m now seriously considering buying a car through Costco. Yes, that’s a thing and it sounds awesome. If I go through with it I’ll try to write up a guide to the whole process.
Cheers from Charleston ✌️

I really enjoyed reading through this thread on design patterns for SaaS startups. It’s fairly technical, but should still be approachable to most. I wrote a thread outlining the points I disagree with here.

🚀 Technical Design Patterns for SaaS
(A thread)

Goals:
• Fantastic end-user experience
• Build as little as possible
• Speedy development
• System resiliency
• Easy for a solo dev

First part is a specific stack, but the rest is stack-agnostic.
